सतगुरु मेरा शूरमा, तकि तकि मारै तीर। लागे पन भागे नही, ऐसा दास कबीर।।५०१।।

The True Guru is a great warrior who shoots arrows of wisdom. They protect from harm and their protection is unfailing.

सतगुरु महिमा अनंत है, अनंत किया उपकार। लोचन अनंत उघारिया, अनंत दिखावन हार।।५०२।।

The glory of the True Guru is infinite, and their benevolence is boundless. The eyes reveal infinite truths and their manifestations are endless.

सतगुरु शरण न आवहीं, फिर‍ि फिरि होय अकाज। जीव खोय सब जायेंगे, काल तिहूं पुर राज।।५०३।।

Without seeking refuge in the True Guru, one repeatedly fails in their endeavors. The soul will be lost and everyone will face the reign of time.

सतगुरु सम को है सगा, साधु सम को दात। हरि समान को है हितु, हरिजन सम को जात।।५०४।।

The True Guru is like a relative to all, a benefactor to saints. He is like the Lord in his love, and equal to all the devotees.

कबीर समुझा कहत है, पानी थाह बताय। ताकूं सतगुरु को करे, जो औघट डूबे जाय।।५०५।।

Kabir explains that one should seek the true Guru who can reveal the depth of the water, as without the Guru, even the skilled swimmer will drown.

सतगुरु सम कोई नहीं, सात दीप नौ खण्‍ड। तीन लोक न पाइये, अरु इक-इस ब्रह्मण्‍ड।।५०६।।

There is no comparison to the true Guru, who is like seven lamps in nine realms. One cannot find the Guru even in the three worlds or this entire universe.

सतगुरु सांचा शूरमा, नख शिख मारा पूर। बाहिर घाव न दीखई, अन्‍तर चकनाचूर।।५०७।।

The true Guru is a real hero, whose entire being is filled with strength. While there may be no visible wounds, internally they are shattered.

केते पढि गुनि पचि मुए, योग यज्ञ तप लाय। बिन सतगुरु पावै नहीं, कोटिन करे उपय।।५०८।।

Many have studied and practiced various disciplines, including yoga, rituals, and penance. However, without the true Guru, none of these efforts bear fruit.

सतगुरु तो सतभाव है, जो अस भेद बताय। धन्‍य शीष धन भाग तिहिं, जो ऐसी सुधि पाया।।५०९।।

The true Guru is the essence of truth, revealing the secrets of this reality. Blessed are those who attain such knowledge and recognition.

सतगुरु हमसों रीझि कै, कह्यौ एक परसंग। बरषै बादल प्रेम को, भींजि गयो सब अंग।।५१०।।

The true Guru, who was pleased with us, recounted a tale. Like the raincloud showering love, every part of the body got drenched in it.

पाछे लागे जाय था, लोक वेद के साथ। पैडे में सतगुरु मिले, दीपक दीन्‍हा हाथ।।५११।।

One may follow the worldly scriptures, but in the presence of the true Guru, they find the lamp of enlightenment in their hands.

जेहि खोजत ब्रह्मा थके, सुर नर मुनि अरु देव। कहैं कबीर सुन साधवा, करु सतगुरु की सेव।।५१२।।

Even Brahma, the gods, sages, and deities become weary in their search. Kabir says, listen, O seekers, serve the true Guru.

सतगुरु मिले जु सब मिले, न तो मिला न कोय। माता-पिता सुत बांधवा, ये तो घर घर होय।।५१३।।

When you find a true Guru, you find everything; without a Guru, you find nothing. Parents, children, and relatives are found in every household.

गुरवा तो सस्‍ता भया, पैसा केर पचास। राम नाम धन बेचि के, शिष्‍य करन की आस।।५१४।।

The Guru has become cheap, valuing himself at just fifty rupees. Selling the wealth of God's name, he hopes to make disciples.

गुरु नाम है गम्‍य का, शीष सीख ले सोय। बिनु पद बिनु मरजाद नर, गुरु शीष नहिं कोय।।५१५।।

The Guru's name is the destination; only those who learn by bowing down can reach it. Without a path or dignity, a person cannot be a true disciple.

गुरु किया है देह का, सतगुरु चीन्‍हा नांहि। भवसागर के जाल में, फिर फिर गोता खांहि।।५१६।।

If you consider the body as your Guru and do not recognize the true Guru, you will keep drowning again and again in the ocean of existence.

गुरु बिचारा क्‍या करै, शब्‍द न लागै अंग। कहै कबीर मैली गजी, कैसे लागै रंग।।५१७।।

What can the poor Guru do if his words do not take root? Kabir says, how can a dirty cloth take color?

गु अंधियारी जानिये, रु कहिये परकास। मिटे अज्ञान तम ज्ञान ते, गुरु नाम है तास।।५१८।।

Ignorance is darkness, knowledge is light. The removal of ignorance through knowledge is achieved through the name of the Guru.

कबीर बेड़ा सार का, ऊपर लादा सार। पापी का पापी गुरु, यो बूड़ा संसार।।५१९।।

Kabir says, a boat made of straw, laden with more straw, will sink. A sinful Guru will lead the sinful world to its downfall.

जानीता बूझा नहीं, बूझि किया नहिं गौन। अंधे को अंधा मिले, राह बताये कौन।।५२०।।

Knowing without understanding, and understanding without practice is futile. When the blind lead the blind, who can show the way?
