मुख की मीठी जो कहै, हृदये है मति आन। कहहिं कबीर तेहि लोकनि से, ऐसो राम सयान।।१६४२।।
One who speaks sweetly with the mouth, yet has evil intentions in the heart. Kabir says that such people are deceivers, pretending to be wise.
मूढ कर्मिया मानवा नख, शिख पाखर आहि। वाहनहारा का करे, जो बाण न लागे ताहि।।१६४३।।
Foolish human actions are like the claws and feathers of a bird. What can the rider do if the arrow does not hit?
मूरख को समुझावते, ज्ञान गांठ का जाइ। कोयला होइ न ऊजरो, नव मन साबुन लाइ।।१६४४।।
One who tries to explain to a fool, knowledge gets tied up. Coal does not get cleaned; new soap is needed for the mind.
मूरख सों का कहिए, सठ सों कहा बसाय। पाहन में का मारिये, चोखे तीर नसाय।।१६४५।।
What can be said to a fool, and what can be done to a scoundrel? Hitting a stone does not remove the arrow's mark.
मूवा हे मरिं जाहुगे, बिनु सर थोथे भाल। परहु करायल वृक्ष तल, आज मरहु के काल।।१६४६।।
The dead will die, without the head's support. Under the tree of misfortune, today is the time of death.
मैं रोवों ऐहि जगत को, मोको रोवे न कोय। मोको रोवे सो जना, जो शब्द विवेकी होय।।१६४७।।
I cry for this world, but no one cries for me. Only those who are wise in words can truly understand my sorrow.
मानुष विचारा क्या करे, जाके कहे न खुले कपाट। सोनहा चाक बैठाइए, फिरि फिरि एषन चाट।।१६४८।।
What can a foolish human do, whose doors are not open? Set up a golden plate, but still keep licking it repeatedly.
मानुष बिचारा क्या करे, जाके हृदय शून। सोनहा चाक बिठाइये, फिरि फिरि चाटे चून।।१६४९।।
What can a poor human do, whose heart is empty? Set up a golden plate, but still keep licking the dust.
मानुष बिचारा क्या करे, जाके शून्य शरीर। जो जिव झाखि न ऊपजे, तो काहे पुकार कबीर।।१६५०।।
What can a poor human do, whose body is empty? If the soul does not arise from within, why then call Kabir?
मानुष ह्वे के नहिं मुवा, मुवा सो डांगर ढोर। एकां जीवहिं ठौर नहिं लागा, भये सो हाथी घोर।।१६५१।।
The human does not die like an animal; the dead one is like cattle. Without a place to live, it becomes a fierce elephant.

The mind is like the waves of a river, often drowning in ignorance. Kabir says those who read this will have a heart full of wisdom.
मन माया एक है, माया मनहिं समाय। तीनि लोक संशय परे, काहि कहौं बिलगाय।।१६५३।।
Mind and illusion are the same; illusion resides in the mind. Beyond the three worlds, there is doubt; why should I speak of separation?
मन माया की कोठरी, तन संशय का कोट। विषहर मंत्र न माने, काल सर्प का चोट।।१६५४।।
The mind is a chamber of illusion, and the body is a fortress of doubt. The poison of spells does not affect; it is the bite of the serpent of time.
बाजीगर के वानरा, जियरा मन के साथ। मन सायर समुद्र है, वहि कतहूं जानि जाय।।१६५५।।
The monkeys of the magician, along with the heart and mind. The mind is like the ocean; where it goes, no one knows.
मलयागिरि के वास में, वृक्ष रहे सबभोय। कहिबे को चंदन भए, मलयागिरि नहिं होय।।१६५६।।
In the abode of Malaya Mountain, all trees thrive. To say that the sandalwood is the Malaya Mountain, is not correct.
मलयागिरि के बास महं, बेधो ढ़ाक पलास। वेणा कबहन बेधिया, जुगजुग रहते पास।।१६५७।।
In the residence of Malaya Mountain, there are trees like Dhak and Palash. The Veena (a musical instrument) has always resided there, enduring through ages.
हौं तो सब ही की कही, मेरी कहे न कोय। मेरी कहे सो जना, जो मुझ ही सा होय।।१६५८।।
I speak for everyone, but no one speaks for me. Only those who are like me, can understand what I say.
ये कबीर ते उतरिह रहु, तेरो संमल परोहन साथ। शंबल घटे न पगु थका, जीव विराने हाथ।।१६५९।।
Kabir will remain detached from you, with your companion and support. The pilgrimage will not tire the feet, but the soul's thirst will be quenched.
रंगहि ते रंग उपजे, सब रंग देखी एक। कवन रंग है जीव को, ताकर करहु विवेक।।१६६०।।
Colors arise from colors, all colors are seen as one. What color is there in the soul? Use your wisdom to understand.
