    क्‍यूं नृप नारी नींदये, क्‍यूं पनिहारी कौं मान। व मांग संवारै पीव कौं, वा नित उठि सुमिरै राम।।१९८४।।

    Why do the king and queen sleep, and why is the water carrier honored? One who adorns the bride and always remembers Ram, is truly honored.

    कबीर धनि ते सुंदरी, जिन जाया बैसनौं पूत। राम सुमरि नरिभै हुवा, सब जग गया अऊत।।१९८५।।

    Kabir says, the rich and beautiful woman, who has sons and wealth, has attained true greatness by remembering Ram. All the world is in awe of her.

    निरबैरी निहकांमता, सांई सेती नेह। विषिया सूं न्‍यारा रहै, संतहि का अंग एह।।१९८९।।

    Harmlessness and humility are the essence of love with the divine. Being detached from worldly pleasures, this is the true mark of a saint.

    कबीर हरि का भावता, झीणां पंजर तास। रैणि न आवै नींदड़ी, अंगि न चढ़ई मास।।१९९१।।

    Kabir says, the one who feels the presence of Hari, even a thin cover is enough for him. He does not find sleep at night, and the body does not feel the passage of time.

    जिन्‍य कुछ जाण्‍या नहीं तिन्‍ह, सुख नींदड़ी बिहाइ। भैर अबूझी बूझिया, पूरी पड़ी बलाइ।।१९९३।।

    Those who do not know anything, find comfort and sleep. The incomprehensible fear is dispelled, and they remain completely absorbed in bliss.

    जांण भगत का नित मरण, अणजाणे का राज। सर अपसर समझै नहीं, पेट भरण सूं काज।।१९९४।।

    The devotee is constantly dying in knowledge, while the ignorant seek comfort. They do not understand the essence of the self and are only concerned with fulfilling their basic needs.

    राम वियोगी तन बिकल, ताहि न चीन्‍है कोइ। तंबोली के पान ज्‍यूं, दिन दिन पीला होइ।।१९९६।।

    The body of the one separated from Ram is in distress, but no one recognizes this. Just like the betel leaf turns yellow day by day, so does the body of such a person.

    जदि बिषै पियारी प्रीति सूं, तब अंतर हरि नांहि। जब अंतर हरि जी बसै, तब विषिया सूं चित्त नांहि।।२०००।।

    If one loves the world with deep affection, then the divine does not dwell within. When the divine resides within, the mind is not attracted to worldly pleasures.
