Even if someone as wise as Shukdev wanders around, they cannot cross over without a Guru. Without a Guru, one is bound to fall into the cycle of 84 lakh life forms.

साकट कहा न कहि चलै, सुनहा कहा न खाय। जो कौवा मठ हगि भरै, तो मठ को कहा नशाय।।३०२।।
The wicked person will not speak truthfully, and the wise will not consume what is impure. If a crow defiles a monastery, does that monastery lose its sanctity?
साकट मन का जेवरा, भजै सो करराय। दो अच्छर गुरु बहिरा, बाधा जमपुर जाय।।३०३।।
The wicked person’s mind is like iron, and their words are harsh. If they cannot utter even two words of the Guru’s teachings, they will suffer in the cycle of birth and death.
कबीर साकट की सभा, तू मति बैठे जाय। एक गुवाड़े कदि बड़ै, रोज गदहरा गाय।।३०४।।
Kabir says, do not sit in the company of wicked people. Even if you join them for a moment, their negative influence will grow daily.
संगत सोई बिगुर्चई, जो है साकट साथ। कंचन कटोरा छाड़ि के, सनहक लीन्ही हाथ।।३०५।।
The company that associates with wickedness will be ruined. It is like leaving a golden bowl to hold a piece of coal.
साकट संग न बैठिये, करन कुबेर समान। ताके संग न चलिये, पड़ि हैं नरक निदान।।३०६।।
Do not sit with the wicked, even if they are as rich as Kubera. Do not walk with them, as it leads to hell.
टेक न कीजै बावरे, टेक माहि है हानि। टेक छाड़ि मानिक मिलै, सत गुरु वचन प्रमानि।।३०७।।
Do not be stubborn, O fool, as stubbornness leads to loss. Abandon it, and you will find gems; this is the true Guru’s teaching.
साकट सूकर कीकरा, तीनों की गति एक। कोटि जतन परमोघिये, तऊ न छाड़े टेक।।३०८।।
The wicked, the pig, and the thorn tree all have the same nature. Despite a million efforts, they do not change their ways.
हरिजन आवत देखिके, मोहड़ो सूखि गयो। भाव भक्ति समझयो नहीं, मूरख चूकि गयो।।३०९।।
Seeing the devotee of God, the wicked person’s face becomes pale. They do not understand the essence of devotion and miss the true path.
खसम कहावै बैरनव, घर में साकट जोय। एक धरा में दो मता, भक्ति कहाँ ते होय।।३१०।।
The master may call her a wicked woman, but if there is a wicked person in the house, how can true devotion exist where there are two opposing ideas?
घर में साकट स्त्री, आप कहावे दास। वो तो होगी शूकरी, वो रखवाला पास।।३११।।
If a wicked woman is in the house, she may call herself a servant, but she is actually like a pig, and the guardian is near.
आँखों देखा घी भला, न मुख मेला तेल। साघु सो झगड़ा भला, ना साकट सों मेल।।३१२।।
Seeing clarified butter with your eyes is good, but if your mouth is oily, it is not useful. It is better to have a dispute with a saint than to have a friendship with a wicked person.
दोय बखत नहिं करि सके, दिन में करूँ इक बार। कबीर साधु दरश ते, उतरैं भव जल पार।।३१३।।
One cannot perform rituals twice a day, but if done once a day, it is sufficient. Kabir says, by seeing the saint, one can cross the ocean of worldly life.
बार-बार नहिं करि सके, पाख-पाख करिलेय। कहैं कबीरन सो भक्त जन, जन्म सुफल करि लेय।।३१४।।
One cannot perform rituals repeatedly, but if done properly, it is effective. Kabir says that such devotees will make their lives fruitful.
छठे मास नहिं करि सके, बरस दिना करि लेय। कहैं कबीर सो भक्तजन, जमहिं चुनौती देय।।३१५।।
If one cannot perform rituals for six months, they can do it for a year. Kabir says such devotees challenge even Yama (the god of death).
मास-मास नहिं करि सकै, उठे मास अलबत्त। यामें ढील न कीजिये, कहै कबीर अविगत्त।।३१६।।
If one cannot perform rituals every month, they can still do it within a month. Kabir says do not delay in this matter.
इन अटकाया न रुके, साधु दरश को जाय। कहै कबीर सोई संतजन, मोक्ष मुक्ति फल पाय।।३१७।।
Obstacles cannot stop the visit to a saint. Kabir says, those saints who overcome such hindrances attain liberation and spiritual rewards.
कबीर दर्शन साधु के, खाली हाथ न जाय। यही सीख बुध लीजिए, कहै कबीर बुझाय।।३१८।।
Do not visit a saint with empty hands. Kabir says, learn this lesson, that visiting a saint should involve giving something.
साधु बिरछ सतज्ञान फल, शीतल शब्द विचार। जग में होते साधु नहिं, जर भरता संसार।।३१९।।
The saint is like a tree bearing the fruit of true knowledge, offering cool and soothing words. Without saints in the world, the world remains filled with ignorance.
साधु बड़े परमारथी, शीतल जिनके अंग। तपन बुझावै ओर की, देदे अपनो रंग।।३२०।।
Saints are great benefactors, whose bodies are cool and calm. They extinguish the heat of worldly desires and give their own hue.
