सीखै सुनै विचार ले, ताहि शब्‍द सुख देय। बिना समझै शब्‍द गहै, कछु न लोहा लेय।।१००१।।

Learning, listening, and understanding bring joy from the words. But without understanding, mere repetition of words brings no gain.

काल फिरै सिर ऊपरै, जीवहि नजरि न आय। कहैं कबीर गुरु शब्‍द गहि, जम से जीव बचाय।।१००२।।

Death hovers above, unseen by the living. Kabir says, hold on to the guru's word, it saves the soul from death.

जंत्र मंत्र सब झूठ है, मति भरमो जग कोय। सार शब्‍द जानै बिना, कागा हंस न होय।।१००३।।

All charms and spells are false, don't be deluded by the world. Without knowing the essence of the word, a crow cannot become a swan.

कर्म फंद जग फंदिया, जप तप पूजा ध्‍यान। जाहि शब्‍द ते मुक्ति होय, सो न परा पहिचान।।१००४।।

The world is trapped in the snares of karma, rituals, and meditation. They fail to recognize the word that leads to liberation.

शब्‍द जु ऐसा बोलिये, मन का आपा खोय। औरन को शीतल करे, आपहुं शीतल होय।।१००५।।

Speak words in such a way that the ego of the mind is lost. Let your words soothe others, and you too will become serene.

जिहि शब्‍दे दुख ना लगे, सोई शब्‍द उचार। तपत मिटी सीतल भया, सोई शब्‍द ततसार।।१००६।।

Speak words that do not cause pain. The word that cools down the heat is the essence of truth.

कागा काको धन हरै, कोयल काको देत। मीठा शब्‍द सुनाय के, जग अपनो करि लेत।।१००७।।

Who does the crow rob? Whom does the cuckoo give? By speaking sweet words, one wins over the world.

शब्‍द पाय सुरति राखहि, सो पहुंच दरबार। कहैं कबीर तहां देखिये, बैठा पुरुष हमार।।१००८।।

One who keeps the word in mind reaches the divine court. Kabir says, there you will see our true master seated.

शब्‍द बराबर धन नहीं, जो कोय जानै बोल। हीरा तो दामों मिलैं, सब्‍दहि मोल न तोल।।१००९।।

There is no wealth equal to the word, for those who know how to speak. Diamonds can be bought for a price, but words are priceless.

सन्‍त सन्‍तोषी सर्वदा, शब्‍दहिं भेद विचार। सतगुरु के परताप ते, सहज सील मतसार।।१०१०।।

A true saint is always content, understanding the depth of words. By the grace of the true guru, one attains a simple, virtuous, and pure essence.

जिभ्‍या जिन बिस में करी, तिन बस कियो जहान। नहिं तो औगुन ऊपजे, कहि सब संत सुजान।।१०११।।

Those who control their tongue, control the world. Otherwise, vices arise, as all wise saints say.

लागी लागी क्‍या करै, लागत रही लगार। लागी तबही जानिये, निकसी जाय दुसार।।१०१२।।

What can desire do, as long as attachment remains? True desire is known only when other attachments leave.

हरिजन सोई जानिये, जिह्वा कहैं न मार। आठ पहर चितवन रहै, गुरु का ज्ञान विचार।।१०१३।।

Know that person as a devotee of the Lord, who doesn't hurt anyone with their words. They remain immersed in the guru's teachings day and night.

टीला टीली ढाहि के, फोरि करै मैदान। समझ सका करता चलै, सोई शब्‍द निरबान।।१०१४।।

Breaking down the hills and leveling the field, one who understands the creator walks the path of liberation.

शब्‍द दुराया ना दुरै, कहूं जु ढोल बजाय। जो जन होवै जौहरी, लेहैं सीस चढ़ाय।।१०१५।।

Words cannot be hidden, even if one beats a drum. A true connoisseur will always hold them in high regard.

शब्‍द शब्‍द सब कोय कहै, शब्‍द का करो विचार। एक शब्‍द शीतल करै, एक शब्‍द दे जार।।१०१६।।

Everyone speaks words, but reflect on their meaning. One word can cool, while another can burn.

रैन तिमिर नासत भयो, जबही भानु उगाय। सार शब्‍द के जानते, करम भरम मिटि जाय।।१०१७।।

Just as the darkness of night disappears when the sun rises, knowing the essence of the word dispels the illusions of karma.

सहज तराजू आनि कै, सब रस देखा तोलि। सब रस माहीं जीभ रस, जु कोय जानै बोलि।।१०१८।।

Bringing the scale of simplicity, all tastes were weighed. Among all tastes, the taste of the tongue is the best for those who know how to speak.

मुख आवै सोई कहै, बोलै नहीं विचार। हते पराई आतमा, जीभ बांधि तलवार।।१०१९।।

One speaks whatever comes to their mouth, without thinking. They hurt others' souls as if their tongue were a sword.

शब्‍द न करै मुलाहिजा, शब्‍द फिरै चह धार। आपा पर जब चीन्हिया, तब गुरु सिष व्‍यवहार।।१०२०।।

Words do not show mercy, they cut like a sharp sword. When one understands oneself, then the relationship between guru and disciple is established.
