कबिरा तोरा मान गढ, मारा पांच गनीम। सीस नंवाया धनी को, साधी बड़ी महीम।।२१४१।।

Kabir's honor is a fortress, defeated by five foes. The head bowed to the wealthy, the earth is humbled.

राम झरोखै बठिके, सबका मुजरा लेय। जैसी जाको चाकरी, तैसी सबको देय।।२१४२।।

Sitting at the window of Ram, receiving all greetings. Each is given according to their service to him.

चोपड़ मांडी चौहटे, अरध उरध बाजार। कबिरा खेलै रामसों, कबंहु न आवै हार।।२१४३।।

The game is played on a board with four squares, and half the market. Kabir plays with Ram, never facing defeat.

हारौं तो हरि मान है, जो जीतूं तौ दाव। पारब्रह्म सों खेलतां, जो शिर जाय तो जाव।।२१४४।।

If I lose, it is the honor of Hari, if I win, it is the wager. Playing with the Supreme Being, whether the head is lost or not.

खेल जु मांड़ा खिलाडि सौं, आनंद बढा अघाय। अब पासा काहूपरौ, प्रेम बंधा युग जाय।।२१४५।।

The game is played with the players, and joy increases. Now the dice are cast, and love binds the ages.

घटी बढी जानै नहीं, मनमें राखे जीत। गाडर लडै गयन्‍दसा, देखो उलटी रीत।।२१४६।।

One who does not know the ups and downs, keeps victory in the mind. The hypocrite fights with pride, and observes a reversed way.

कूकरा बहु जुरिमुआ, सलसै चढी सियार। रोवत आवै गदहड़ा, प्रमोधत आय बिलार।।२१४७।।

The dog is very guilty, the jackal climbs on it. The donkey cries, while the cat comes in joy.

मा मारी धी घर करै, गऊ सो बच्‍छा खाय। ब्राह्मन मारै मदपिये, तो स्‍वर्गापुर जाय।।२१४८।।

The mother dies, and the daughter-in-law manages the house, the cow eats the calf. If the Brahmin kills the drunkard, he goes to heaven.

माता मुये एक फल, पिता मुये फल चार। भाई मूये हानि है, कहैं कबीर बिचार।।२१४९।।

The mother who dies yields one fruit, the father who dies yields four fruits. The death of a brother is a loss, says Kabir.

अचर रचै चर पर रहै, मरै न चारै जाय। बारह मास बिलोधनां, घूूमे एकै भाय।।२१५०।।

The eternal is present on the perishable, it does not die nor depart. For twelve months, it remains hidden, roaming with a single appearance.

चंदन गया विदेसड, सब कोई कहै पलास। ज्‍यों ज्‍यों चूल्‍हे झांकिया, त्‍यों त्‍यों अधिकी बास।।२१५१।।

Sandalwood went abroad, and everyone called it a Palash. The more it is seen in the kitchen, the more it emits fragrance.

चंदन रोया रात भरि, मेरा हित्त न कोय। जिसने राख्‍यो पेट में, सो फिर बैरी होय।।२१५२।।

Chandan cried all night, but no one cared. The one who kept it in their stomach, then became an enemy.

चंदन काटा जड खनी, बांधिलिया शिर मार। कालि जा पंछी बसि गया, तिसका यह उपकार।।२१५३।।

Chandan was cut at the root, and his head was bound. The black bird settled there, this is his favor.

पांय पदारथ पेलिया, कांकर लीन्‍हां हाथ। जोडी बिछुरी हंस की, चला वुंगा के साथ।।२१५४।।

The foot of the goal is fixed, hands are full of pebbles. The pair of the swan is scattered, and it walks with the crane.

हंसा तो महाराणा का, आया थलियां माहिं। बगुला करि करि मारिया, मरम जो जानै नाहिं।।२१५५।।

The swan is of the great king, it has come to the field. The crane kills one by one, not knowing the essence.

हंस बुगांके पावना, कोइक दिन का फेर। बगुला कहा गरबिया, बैठा पंख बिखेर।।२१५६।।

The swan waits at the pond, a turn of a day. The crane, proud and boastful, sits with its feathers spread.

बगुला हंस मनाइलै, नीरां रूकां बहोर। या बैठा तू ऊजला, तासों प्रीति न तोर।।२१५७।।

The crane lures the swan, and the pure water remains stagnant. You sit bright, yet the love is not yours.

पायो पर पायो नहीं, हीरा हड्डी मार। कहे कबीर योंही गयो, परखे बिना गंवार।।२१५८।।

Found a jewel but did not find it; it was a bone hit. Says Kabir, thus went, without discerning the fool.

कबिर चुनता कन फिरै, हीरा पाया बाट। ताको मरम न जानिया, ले खलि खाई हाट।।२१५९।।

Kabir picks grains, found a jewel on the path. Not knowing its worth, he took it to the market.

हीरा को कछु ना घटा, घट जो बेचन हार। जन्‍म गमायो आपनौ, अंधे पशू गंवार।।२१६०।।

The jewel does not diminish, it is diminished by the seller. Life is wasted, like blind and foolish animals.
